Find Out Why People Are Wearing Safety Pins As a Sign of Support After the Election
People are dealing with the election results in plenty of different ways. Some are protesting, some are still trying to get Hillary into office, others are doing just what Hillary Clinton did and still more are opting to wear safety pins for a very specific reason. It’s all about support.
With many groups in the country now feeling scared after Trump’s win (on top of the outbreak of incidents targeting minorities already), anyone who wants to show that they are a safe place for LGBT folks, POC, immigrants and more are pinning on a safety pin.
Supportive folks are spreading the message…
This is beautiful. Let's all be safe places for people who are anxious and afraid right now. #safetypin pic.twitter.com/BBeqyIIp4k
