When NBC announced it would be rebooting Will & Grace for two seasons starting in 2017, the cast called it a "no-brainer" — and we definitely agree. When the series originally aired from 1998 to 2006, it was not only groundbreaking for the time, but it was also rife with fun and smart pop culture details, including a seemingly endless parade of celebrity guest stars. NBC hasn't revealed many details about the revival — though we do know that it will pretend like the events of the series finale never happened — but there are sure to be a few familiar faces popping up here and there. (Dear Evan Hansen's Ben Platt booked a guest-starring role in the October 5 episode.) In honor of the reboot, we're looking back at a few OG Will & Grace cameos you might have forgotten. Scott Patterson (season two): Shortly before he endeared himself to audiences as Luke on Gilmore Girls, Scott Patterson appeared as Grace's high school crush, who came looking for her after a flattering (if misleading) photo of her ran in the paper. Debbie Reynolds (recurring guest star): The late, great Debbie Reynolds recurred throughout the series as Grace's mom, Bobbi, and it was always a delight to see her on screen. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank)
Molly Shannon (recurring guest star): One of the best recurring guests on the series, Shannon played Will and Grace's upstairs neighbor Val, who hated Grace and loved Will, both with a passion. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank)
Patrick Dempsey (season three): Before he was McDreamy on Grey's Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey played Matt, an attractive customer at the Banana Republic where Jack worked (briefly). Will tried to help Jack get a date with him — but ended up getting a date himself instead. They dated for two episodes, but Will broke up with him when Matt lied to his boss about their relationship. Ellen DeGeneres (season three): After her own hit sitcom ended and before she started her still-running talk show, DeGeneres showed up as a nun, Sister Louise, who bought a lemon of an old car from Grace in the third season. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank)
Matt Damon (season four): Damon played a man named Owen in the show's "A Chorus Lie" episode. Jack, convinced Owen was straight, tried to out him as they competed in auditions for the gay men's chorus. (Photo via NBC/Getty)
Cher (season four): Cher made an uncredited appearance in season three before showing up again in the "A.I.: Artificial Insemination" episode. She appeared as herself in Jack's vision and told him to pursue his acting career. (Photo via NBCU Photo Bank)
Nick Offerman (season four): Before he and Megan Mullally were married, Offerman played a plumber who caught Karen's eye in a 2001 episode. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty)
Madonna (season five): Madonna showed off her acting chops in a 2003 episode, playing Liz, Karen's absolutely impossible (but totally hilarious) roommate. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank)
Macaulay Culkin (season five): Culkin took a break from acting from 1994 to 2003, which made his cameo as a divorce lawyer working with Karen in her split from Stan a total surprise. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank)
Jennifer Lopez (seasons six and seven): Lopez appeared as herself in three episodes in 2004. In the season six finale, she performed at Karen's wedding, then recruited Jack to join her on tour as a backup dancer. Later, Jack took advantage of what he thought was a friendship with J.Lo and gave her a song written by Karen — only to get fired as a result. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty)
Luke Perry (season seven): There are always LOLs to be had wherever Jack and Karen are, and when they confronted Luke Perry — who they thought was a peeping Tom — in a park, hilarity ensued. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty)
Kristin Davis (season seven): Toward the end of the series, Will had a serious boyfriend, Vince (played by Bobby Cannavale), and Davis played his best friend — the Grace to Vince's Will. Davis had just wrapped Sex and the City when she appeared in this 2004 episode and caused drama between Will and his BF. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank)
Janet Jackson (season seven): When Jennifer Lopez fired Jack earlier in the season, she promised to put him in touch with Janet Jackson. Later, Jackson showed up (as herself) in an episode that saw her auditioning backup dancers for a performance. Naturally, there was a dance-off between Jack and another man — Karen's ex, Artemis. George Takei (season eight): Takei played himself as a guest on Jack's talk show — a show Jack got after his bosses at OutTV thought he looked good on camera. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty)
Britney Spears (season eight): Nothing like saving the best for last! Spears appeared as the super-conservative Amber-Louise in "Buy, Buy Baby," the episode that also featured George Takei. Amber-Louise was brought on to co-host Jack's recently revamped OutTV talk show. (Photo via Chris Haston/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty)
