These ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ Barbies Are Seriously Stunning
Pretty much everything we’ve seen from the upcoming A Wrinkle in Time film looks absolutely magical, and that includes this trio of Mrs. Ws Barbies that Ava DuVernay just posted on Instagram. Get ready for Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling), and Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon) like you’ve never seen them before!
Sharing a whimsical image of the three new dolls standing in a picture-perfect mini setting, the Hollywood powerhouse added the heartfelt caption, “When Disney makes Barbies of your movie’s characters and you just want to stare at them all day in disbelief because you loved Barbies as a girl but never had any like these. #WrinkleinTime”
The dolls are modeled after their IRL counterparts, and the details are staggering. From Mrs. Which‘s majestic silver top and ethereal earrings, to Mrs. Who‘s tattoos and symbol-covered robe, to Mrs. Whatsit‘s fairy-like gown and fiery red hair, it’s all so enchanting.
Unfortunately, anyone who wants to get their hands on these treasures will have to wait a little longer, as they’re not available to purchase quite yet. And when they are for sale, Barbie’s website notes that they are not your typical dolls and are meant instead “for the adult collector” (which is why they retail for $50 each).

As amazing as this is, it actually isn’t DuVernay’s first brush with Barbie. Back in 2015, she herself became one of the iconic dolls as part of Mattel’s “Shero” campaign, which highlighted women who are doing amazing things in the entertainment industry.
A Wrinkle in Time hits theaters on March 9.
