You Can Now Have a Private Dining Experience in Walt Disney’s Old Apartment
The Happiest Place on Earth is known for its magical twists and turns around every corner, but did you know there were also a few special clubs in the park that only a special few have access to? In addition to the longstanding Club 33, there’s a brand new VIP quarters in Mickey and Minnie’s town, and every Disney super fan is going to want to sign up to experience it.
The new club is called 21 Royal, and touts a “magnificent meal of magical memories,” according to the official website. 21 Royal is located inside the prior apartment of Walt Disney and his family (!!), right above the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. While its New Orleans’-themed decor is stunning, the food is rumored to be an even more magical experience: You’ll even get to pick the theme of the meal (which includes everything from entry to the park, to valet parking, to signature cocktails, a reception, dessert, balcony viewings and more) once you sign up.
While in the dream suite, you’ll get to explore each of the themed rooms that Walt and his family once lived in, and according to the site, you “will also have time to explore the different rooms — and discover some of their more magical features.” For dinner, you’ll eat from gold-plated dinnerware and crystal, and enjoy a “fascinating tale that unfolds through food and drink.” Sounds fun! (And pricy.)
Though the official website doesn’t list an exact number, this Disney News site quotes the experience at around $15,000. Yowza! However, considering you’ll get to split the meal (and the entire experience!) with up to 11 of your closest pals, that rings in at just over a grand each, so for Disney super fans, perhaps it’s worth the hefty price tag to truly see how Walt himself lived while they experience the meal of a lifetime.
