You Can Now Register for Airbnb for Your Honeymoon (and Beyond!)
Zola.com is known for taking wedding registries to the next level (SoulCycle classes for two, anyone?), but they may have really outdone themselves this time. According to a recent survey conducted by the site, 25 percent of couples did or are planning on staying in an apartment rental for their honeymoon. To offset the cost of lodging, Zola teamed with Airbnb so wedding guests can give the gift of accommodations.
The process is super simple: Couples can register for a gift card of $100, $300 or $500. Once purchased, the recipients receive an email alert and can then get to booking.
Better yet, couples can use their gift cards for just one experience or over the course of different trips. “Registering for Airbnb lets couples live like locals on their honeymoon, their first anniversary, or even a quick romantic getaway,” Jennifer Spector, Zola’s Newlywed-at-Large, told Conde Nast Traveler. “Today’s couples crave adventure just as much as they do gifts.”
