Zooey Deschanel Just Revealed Her Extremely Unique Baby Girl’s Name
Actress Zooey Deschanel and her producer husband Jacob Pechenik welcomed their baby girl in July and they have been extremely private about their family life — which is totally understandable when you’re the star of your own TV show. The New Girl star has yet to post any baby photos, but three months later, we do have baby name. At the Rock the Kasbah movie premiere in NYC last night, the proud parents finally revealed that their baby girl is named Elsie Otter. “Like the animal,” Zooey told People. Her husband then added, “Sea otter!” Would you expect any less of a creative baby name from Zooey Deschanel, she of the glorious bangs? (The answer is nope.)
The happy couple announced their wedding in August, only a month after the birth of their baby girl. Currently, Zooey is on maternity leave from the show (with Megan Fox taking a guest starring role while she’s gone). While so far no photos of baby Elsie Otter have surfaced yet, People also reported that Zooey’s New Girl co-star Lamorne Morris described Elsie as “an extremely cute baby. She looks like Zooey.”
We can already picture it. A tiny baby with Zooey’s signature baby blues and bangs. Adorable.
